Als Mitglied der Abteilung Drug Delivery Systems untersuchte er die Mechanismen der Permeation von Medikamenten durch Barrieregewebe.<br \/>1995 wurde G. Fricker zum Professor an der Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg ernannt, 2002 \u00fcbernahm er den Lehrstuhl f\u00fcr Pharmazeutische Technologie und wurde Direktor des Instituts f\u00fcr Pharmazie und Molekulare Biotechnologie. Neben seiner universit\u00e4ren T\u00e4tigkeit ist G. Fricker Leiter des Steinbeis-Technologietransferzentrums Biopharmazie &amp; Analytik in Heidelberg, einem Dienstleistungszentrum f\u00fcr die Pharmaindustrie, sowie <a href=\"https:\/\/heideltec.com\/\"><b>Mitbegr\u00fcnder<\/b> der <b>Heidelberg Delivery Technologies GmbH, HeiDelTec<\/b><\/a>, einem Start-up-Unternehmen, das sich mit der oralen Peptidverabreichung besch\u00e4ftigt.
